The Diablo 3 auction house is coming to a close. On the forums you can discuss our last thread here. I'll be posting there along with everyone else on how to play the final weeks of the auction house.
1. Get Crusader Leveling Loot
This includes things like cain's set.
2. Get Patterns
Waiting for patterns to drop is going to be a nightmare. Get them now while you can.
3. Sell Your Gold
Gold is going to become worthless over time, just as it is now. Once we no longer need the items that gold can get us (crafting) then we always end up item hunting while simultaneously hoarding gold.
4. Get Your Bnet Balance to Paypal
Unless you plan on spending Bnet Balance on other Blizzard games like world of warcraft, get all of your Bnet Balance over to paypal immediately.
5. Stockpile Rare Items
Some items will be considered novelty items which everyone will want after the auction house is gone. The murlocket, wirt's leg, etc. Add some of those to your inventory before farming is the only way.
What will I be doing once the auction house is gone? Creating my own. I want to create the safest, least expensive alternative to trading with other players. I'll keep you up to date as I work on coding this new auction house. The forum will be morphed into something greater and I'll need to find a way to compensate the members who currently have forum time beyond the end of the auction house.
